By: DAGJR90. on 19 Dec 10, 14:22:34 @shep882007 that's what i would say... all the choke does is create vacuum which pulls more fuel out of the bowls.. when you set the choke, the accelerator pump squirts some fuel in which gives you the initial rev to 1100, it's used, so the rpm drops a bit, but this also creates tons of vacuum (because the choke plate is closed)? and it sucks in more fuel and comes up to a more steady idle. don'tcha just love carbs?...lol dont worry its ...
